• Purchase watering wand
• With wand attached to end of hose, water base of plant thoroughly
• Take care to not over-water evergreen trees
• Keep in mind that plants on the south side of a building will receive more sun and will need more water than those on the north
• Water two times per week for the first two weeks after planting. Then once a week thereafter. (Dependent on rainfall and temperature)

1. LARGE DECIDUOUS TREES
• 3-5 minutes at full stream
• The length per tree will vary, watch when water emerges to the surface and no longer soaks in

2. DECIDUOUS SHRUBS
• Two times per week for one minute

3. JUNIPERS
• One good soaking per week

4. YEWS
• Once a week in a mulched bed

5. PERENNIALS
• 20-30 seconds two to three times per week
• Some perennials will need more water than others, watch for wilting
• Perennials are very fragile plants, always water from the base

6. GROUND COVERS
• Three times per week or every other day
